Sihanoukville town is nothing special. Rather modern (developed in the 1960's), no atmosphere. The action is at the beaches, esp. Ochheutal Beach, where you'll find the most restaurants, guesthouses and hotels.

Otres Beach, to the southeast of Ochheuteal, is up and coming with more and more restaurants and bars right on the beach.

Kampot is a charming small town and your base for visiting pepper plantations, limestone caves, Bokor Mountain or nearby Kep.

	Geckozy Guesthouse Probably the best choice for travelers on a budget in Sihanoukville although not right on the beach, but in a quiet area in the town centre.	$5 - $8
	Independence Hotel The Independence Hotel was neglected for years, but is now restored to its former glory. Right on Independence Beach.	$150 - $750
	Sokha Beach Resort A large and luxurious resort occupying all of Sokha Beach. They plan another huge resort on Ochheuteal Beach.	$200 - $1000
	Kampot
	Bokor Mountain Lodge A boutique hotel, restaurant and bar on the riverfront in Kampot. Located in an old French colonial building, it has recently undergone extensive refurbishment.	$10 - $20
	Blissful Guesthouse Just launched their website. Blissful Guesthouse is good value for money, friendly and clean. The Danish owner is actively promoting Kampot Pepper.	$3 - $6
	Rikitikitavi A bit more upmarket on Kampot's river front. Nicely decorated rooms and superb food in large portions. Dutch/British owned.	$25 - $35
	Hang Guesthouse A bit out of the centre along the river and set in a beautiful garden with mango and coconut trees.	$10 - $25
